High School Spiritual Life
Weekly Chapel
Chapels are an intricate part of DCA’s mission to impart spiritual truths to every student. God’s Word is the foundation of the mission and vision of DCA’s core values.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7
High School Retreat
The annual high school retreat is designed to intentionally create an atmosphere for reflection, growth and fellowship. Students fellowship at an off-campus site for approximately three days. They are encouraged by speakers, worship leaders, breakout sessions and fun activities led by ASB. While the retreat is mandatory, it fosters spiritual growth that is reflected throughout the campus life.
Grand Canyon Retreat
Every 4 years the high school retreat is taken to camp near the Grand Canyon. Students are treated to scenic visits of God’s beauty by visiting various national parks. There is one full day spent at the Grand Canyon with three different hikes available based on the student’s physical abilities.
Mission Trip
DCA has partnered with various organizations and ministries to lead our high school students in global missions. Every year, students apply for the opportunity to serve overseas. While each trip serves different purposes, the students return with a renewed vision of how to fulfill the Great Commission.
“ And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Romans 10:15
Senior Trip
Every year the senior class gets a retreat all to themselves. For more than 10 years those trips have been incredible and memorable thanks to Camp Rock-N-Water. Founded in 1989, Rock-N-Water is a group of Christians who want to impact young people with the joy of God’s Living Word, so they might come to know Jesus and pass on God’s love with excitement. We focus our program on biblical principles, and we use the help of nature, friendship, and challenge to develop character.
