6th Grade Retreat
Our sixth grade students go on a 2 to 3 day retreat, usually to a mountain conference center. This “mountain-top” adventure is designed to give students an opportunity to learn, grow, and build relationships with the Lord and each other.
During their stay, students will attend chapel services led by Desert Christian Academy staff members as well as guest speakers. They will participate in a variety of team-building activities and small group discussions.
7th Grade Retreat
7th grade students spend 3 days at Ironwood Christian Camp, a ranch in Newbury Springs, California, just north of Barstow. As part of their science curriculum, students are given the unique opportunity to attend desert science classes in a rugged “Old West” style environment. Students also have the opportunity to visit the pioneer town of Calico, as a part of this trip. This is a great time of spiritual and academic as well as social growth.
